This is on my dads laptop, as soon as i enable the wireless and it connects, i get the message "Windows has encountered a critical error and will now restart..."

This is the error on the event log:

Quote

The process wininit.exe has initiated the restart of computer ALAN-PC on behalf of user NT AUTHORITY\SYSTEM for the following reason: No title for this reason could be found
Reason Code: 0x50006
Shutdown Type: restart
Comment: The system process 'C:\Windows\system32\services.exe' terminated unexpectedly with status code -1073741819. The system will now shut down and restart.

Previously i had a problem with this laptop coming up with "Error 1, Error 2" on boot and i couldnt get into windows even on safemode, so i used hirens boot CD and fixed the problem.

but now i have this new issue. Its giving me a right headache, so £5 will be donated if someone from here can help me fix.

Thanks

Computer specifications would be helpful. Make and model, Windows version?

After searching for status code -1073741819 error, it makes me believe, your laptop may be infected (Sasser worm?).

It was infected, i have since got rid of the bugs and infections and now im just left with this issue.

Unlike windows XP, you cant just run a repair of windows to replace the installation. something that used to always fix XP problems

If you did it by yourself, there is a good chance, not everything is gone.
Please, follow my previous suggestion.
