I usually don't bother with different accounts in Windows XP - I just use the administrator account for everything I do. After getting a virus/trojan I started to wonder, if I used a guest account for everyday browsing and work, would this provide some protection from a virus since I (or the virus) wouldn't have privileges to install any software.

Or is there another simple/fast way to lock down my computer from infections (in addition to anti-virus software)?
