Ive been using computers for a long time now. The ZX Spectrum was my first but I still come up against things that I cant resolve. This is the current situation and I will be making my first post on the tech boards very shortly. Do forgive me if I dont get things quite right to start with vis a vis this forum and may I thank you all for any & all advice that I may receive in advance!!

WHAT A NUMPTY!!!!

I couldn't get my notebook to connect to the router wirelessly. I have tried all sorts of things but have just noticed that the switch on the front of the (Lenovo) notebook had become switched off.

All OK again now.

Lesson learnt - ALWAYS CHECK THE SIMPLE THINGS FIRST!!!
