The easy overclock with a stock cooler/voltage is to bump the FSB to 333 and get ~3.1ghz out of it. Gotta have the memory to run at 1333 though (which is why I always suggest getting faster memory than you need). Most will eventually wind up at ~3.3 without voltage bumps. I have seen some hitting 3.6-3.7 with increased voltage, but they do run hot.

I don't feel comfortable with any meaningful voltage bump and that little stock cooler.

I will assume you don't have an OEM system with a locked BIOS.

Boot, hold the "DEL"/Delete key down until you get into the BIOS. Go through the settings until you find "FSB", it should be on the default 266. Bump it to 333, exit and save your settings and let it reboot. Enjoy.

Those chips are great overclockers.
