Wordpress Import HTTP error

Hello,

I have had a Wordpress.com blog for a while and wanted to move it over to a Wordpress.org site and I have started that process. I got everything installed and set up correctly and everything is working except for the import tab. I click on it and it shows all of the different blogs I can import posts from but as soon as I click one I get the error: "An Unexpected HTTP Error occurred during the API request."

The only thing I can find by searching online is that you should change your http request timeout from 5 seconds to 30 seconds, I did that and nothing helps. Anyone have any similar issues or suggestions?

maybe 30 is not long enough

or maybe a plug in problem.... wordpress optimization

Hey, so I think it was just a problem with my host. I did try a number bigger than 30, I tried something like 99999999 and it still didn't do anything for me. I logged off for about an hour, came back and everything worked fine.
