Hi! My name is Edgar (EdgarHM) and I was recommended Combofix and the BleepingComputer website as one that is very good cleaning up infected PCs and were savvy assistance can be obtained.

I will like help in directing me to the right forum so that I can share the details of my need.

Here are the highlights.

2-3 days ago my home Dell computer (OS XP Home Edition 2002 SP3) started opening up tabs by itself in iExplorer (v8) and/or in FireFox (v3.6.10). My NAV also picked up and quarantined a few viruses and trojans witch for the most part I was able to delete (not all because they were open). In addition both browsers displayed the following message:

The instructions at 0Xo...(all zeroes) referenced memory at"0x0... (all zeroes)..". The memory could not be read.

A local professional PC tech friend told me about Combofix and this website. Following his indications I was successful in running it and at one point it discovered the rootkit trojan. Combofix proceeded to reboot my computer and finally generated the log report that I saved.

I will like to get in contact with one of your experts to analyze the log and help me confirm if my PC if malware free.

Thanks in advance,
EdgarHM
