BleepingComputer.com: Moved COMODO File to 2nd PC

I moved my COMODO Fire Wall to another PC, cause I had a problem D/L it from Lan Line.

I have it up and running it updated and the Icon is in the Notification window, but the Application, . .
Component and Network Monitors are off and I can't click them on, . .

Any suggestions from someone who might know ?

What do you mean by "moved"?

I located the file on my C Drive saved it to my Ext. Drv. and Uploaded it to the other PC, and relocated it in the same C file in the other C Drive.

You can't "move" program.
Program has to be installed.

You won't have any entries for it in the registry, so it cannot work. You need to delete that Comodo file and download a new firewal installer from here:
http://personalfirewall.comodo.com/free-download.html

If you cannot do that on that computer for whatever reason, you could use another computer to download to a USB drive and install it from that.

I don't get it, . . . Isn't there a way to place in some entries into it ?

How do the entries get from the registry to the application, in the first place ?

I'll look at the site you gave me I am guessing it will be the same 16 MB size ?

Would downloading it to the computer in question help another installation, meaning will it

detect the previous download and possibly load in the missing part ?


BTW, while reading your post and passing the mouse pointer over the words, "USB drive",

I get the message box you see in the SS, . . any idea what that means ?

Jove the registry entries are created during the installation, unless you know what they are you have no way to add them.

You can download the installer from there also.

I have no idea what you are seeing in your screenshot, but usb sticks are a common source of infection so it just seems to refer to an article about trojans.

I don't know what version of Comodo firewall you are using, but it should best be uninstalled before installing the new version.
