Can't get passed blue screen. Went to safe mode and from there end up with the same blue.screen. please help.

From what i can see on the internet, 0x000000ed points to an Un-mountable boot volume. If you can borrow an XP CD from somebody, enter the recovery console, and enter the command CHKDSK /R.

System manufacturer and model?
Do you have a MS Genuine XP CD?
That error indicates a possible problem with any number of things, see Google List, Unmountable Boot Volume.
The typical cure involves running the chkdsk /r command from the Recovery Console of a MS XP CD, if it doesn't result from something more serious.
