Hello everyone, I replaced the monitor on my Dell Latitude D620 and it has been fuzzy ever since. The image is not clear at all. I have played with the resolution but nothing. I was told by someone it could be a driver issue. I cannot find the driver for it anywhere online. Here are the specs of the monitor:
LG Philips WXGA LP141WP1, 14.1"
Anyone know where I can find a free driver for the monitor?

It's great to know what the monitor is, but without knowing what the make and model is of your computer, we're like a lost ball in high weeds.

In my original post I wrote that its a Dell Latitude D620. Its operating on windows 7, is there anything more specific needed?

Sorry about that. I was caught speed reading again.
I'm assuming, yeah... that's dangerous, that instructions came with this monitor suggesting resolution settings?
Have you tried to match these?

Hello and welcome to Bleepingcomputer.
I am providing you with a support link to your Dell Latitude D620 laptop.
http://support.dell.com/support/downloads/...tid=&impid=
Please note: The page is set for Windows XP, if this is not your present operating system, please choose the drop down tab where it says Window XP and choose Windows Vista if that is the operating system you have.
Also please note: This page has other links related to trouble shooting support documents for your laptop.
I am not sure if you are the one who replaced the laptop screen or if you had it repaired by a repair shop. Answering this question will help me in helping you find a solution to resolve this issue.
It will also answer my question as to if the laptop screen was possibly not put together properly during the re-assembly.
Bruce.

Where did you source the replacement LCD?
According to a very long topic on the Dell support forums, a revised version of the LG Philips panel was made available by Dell to address widespread complaints about the screen being "fuzzy". This could mean the only way to get a D620 to look right is to use the panel from Dell:
"Dell has made a revised version of the LCD panel available to provide warranty service in response to customer concerns."

Bruce, I am the one who installed the monitor. I made sure everything was connected. I even took it apart a second time and nothing changed. I will check the link. Thanks.
Platypus- I bought the monitor on Ebay.

Then my guess would be it's probably a standard spec screen the same as so many people were unhappy with the clarity of when the laptop first came out. Unfortunately it's hard to prove.
