Gas is getting horribly expensive these days, so I thougt it'd be a good idea for there to be a topic to post how high gas costs where you live.

$2.90 here in alaska--rumored to get to $5.00!!! by the end of the year!

$.269 today average in Mayland, USA.

Diesel and Home Heating fuel much above that today.

Argh!
The only easy day was yesterday.

You people would be talking per Gallon?
(note to self: quick! find out how much liquid is in a gallon.)

Where I am the price for PETROL is around $1.35 per Litre in aussie dollars. So thats almost exactly US$1 per Litre.
Multiply by 3.78 according to Google, that US$3.78 per U.S. gallon.

So stop your complaining!

Hmmmm..

$0.89 per litre times 4.54 is $4.04 CDN for a Canadian gallon (maybe an Aussie one too, tee hee). $4.04 times .8 makes it $3.23 CDN for a US gallon, times about .85 for exchange and we are paying about $2.75 US for a US gallon. And everybody thinks thats cheap because its below 90 cents.

It has been steadily going down here in Western NY, it was up as high as 3.50/gallon after Katrina; it is now down below pre-Katrina prices; I saw it for 2.48 yesterday -- I have been carpooling with hubby for the last few months, and I hate it.. I really prefer to drive myself to work

I hope it keeps going down and down! If it hits 1.00 a gallon or even 1.50 we should all buy 500 gallons and store it up lol....
