Repair of Vista OS with disc Bootup did not stop

I had CD in drive and booted up computer. I depressed several keys and it started up normally without stopping. Any ideas?

What CD is it?
Did you check BIOS "boot order"?

I do not have one that indicates it is the Vista OS disc. I will try to obtain one tomorrow. I have no System Restore created. Complete PC Restore- could not find backup.
