I have windows vista ultimate 64bit installed on my pc, I have just bought windows 7 ultimate 64bit and i want to install it, but im not 100% sure whats the best route to take, ive been told i can just insert win 7 and upgrade from it, but its not an upgrade version, its a full version, so would i need to do a fresh install or can i upgrade from a full version? any help with this matter would be great so i can get win 7 installed.

The full version will simply upgrade your current Vista installation as long as you do not choose to create a new partition.
Choose C:\Windows as the destination folder.
It should acknowledge your present Vista installation and offer to keep your original programs, features and settings.
Only if that option is offered should you proceed with the installation.

Please take notice. Oreo and I will not be available until June of 2012.
Thank you for understanding my absence, it is job and college related, so all is good. If I do not answer your PMs this is the reason why. See you all soon!

Hi MrBruce1959
Thanks for your reply, I wont be doing any partitions for this install, I have 3 HDD on my machine, 1 for windows which is a 350gig 'c:\' and this is where win 7 is going, and i have a 1TB drive for my music only and another drive which is 350GB for my pc games, now my other question is, once i do the upgrade, will the other HDD i have work ok with it or not? i would think it would be ok but do you know if i would encounter any problems?
