When I import videos in mircrosoft movie maker, they only stay there as long as i keep my camera plugged into the computer.
Why dose it do this?

WMM doesn't have storage space...nor does any other editor that I know of.
What happens is that a link to the file is established and temporary files create what's seen in the video-edit program. When that link is broken...by moving the files or otherwise....then there is nothing to work with.
I use WMM, Pinnacle 12, and Corel/Ulead Video Studio...they all work the same.
So when you disconnect, you break the link.
If you want the clips/images for another later session...you need to save the files from your camera to a hard drive location...then browse to those locations from WMM.
