So I'm getting a dell laptop I believe to be about 5 or 6 years old from my friend. The screen doesn't work so I have to plug a desktop monitor for a screen. He kind of took it apart and tried to put it back together. He says it works but it's got a few problems. Is there a way that anyone can Kind of walk me through it to put it together..better. I know I'll have to replace screen sometime but the last time I saw It on the monitor it looked fine. I kinda wanna take it apart and rebuild it. Any feedback is Great!

Go to Dell Support, enter model/tear tag and find the service manual. Dell has very good support in this area.
I am a retired Ford tech. Next to Fords, any computer is a piece of cake. (The cake, its not a lie)
