My friend has bought a new Toshiba 64-bit laptop with Windows 7 Home Premium installed. Her other Toshiba laptop is 32-bit, running Vista Home. She wants to use the new machine as a back-up for the older one, so there was a simple enough task of synchronising applications and files.

Try as I might, although I could copy from the Vista laptop to the Windows 7 one, I couldn't find any way of getting the W7 laptop to even see the Vista one. I tried setting up an ad-hoc network, but no dice there either. Both machines have McAfee on, both machines "trust" each other. What am I missing, please?
