To access the BIOS you need to press F2 and hold it as the computer is turned on.
Wiping computer memory

I did. It still takes me to the same screen(the BIOS). Then I went to "boot sequence", unchecked "diskette device" as well as "Hard-dick drive c", so it would start up with "IDE cd-rom device". Saved, shut the computer off, restarted, and I still get the message:
"isolunux 4.00 4.00-pre46 etcd copyright © 1994-2010 H Peter Anvin et al reading sectors error(edd)
No default or ui configuration directive found.
That's all it does. Once on that screen, it simply stays there.
Here is what the BIOS screen has, just to make sure I'm entering the right area:
system time
system date
drive configuration
harddisc drive sequence
boot sequence
memory information
cpu information
integrated devices
power management
system security
keyboard numlock: on
Report keyboard errors
Out of those, I enter "boot sequence", and get this screen:
1 diskette drive
2 hard-disk drive c
3 ide cd-rom device
4 bev device(not installed)
I enter ide cd-rom device, uncheck the first two, to start, as i'd mentioned, with the cd-rom, but just get the error message.
By the way? Thanks for putting up with my lack of knowledge, and trying to help anyway
