hi, i just did a reinstall of Windows XP SP2 because of a Virut infection. I don't think it is gone. However, while cruising around checking out my files, etc., I discovered this file:

I have an AMD dual core, internet explorer 8, running windows xp sp2. (so far). I don't know what else you might need but I'd like to know what the above means, if you can tell me. Is it the traces of Virut???

Did someone suggest that you do a reinstall? Was that a clean install (everything deleted/hard drive formatted)?

Yes, I had malware, Virut. At one point I had 166 infections. That was after I had thought they were gone! But I may need to go throught it again. I believe I will go sign up. And thanks for quick response and time!!
