BleepingComputer.com: Recovery Console Password

I am trying to access the recovery console using my original Xp discs on a Sony Vaio laptop VGN-FS875. It will not allow me to bypass the password request, and my administrator password for windows does not work. I have read in various places that Sony may have set the password at the factory, and I tried some suggestions like "sysrep" & "password" to no avail. The machine will not boot up at all. I can access the BIOS, and the security tab shows that there is no PW set. Any suggestions?

If there isn't a password applied, then you should be able to access it my hitting Enter.
