Good Day!
I have been watching this forum for several years now and finally decided it is time to become a part of it. Although I am a newbie in the forum, I have been on PCs since the year IBM brought the first one out! Recently, I found the invoice for my first PC desktop, something I didn't purchase until 1994, instead playing with the Commodore 64 and 128. $2,000 bought a DOS-based (windows 3.1 was extra) computer, with 64MB RAM, 512 meg hard drive, a CD player (2x) speed and a 14-inch monitor. As an added bonus, I even had an external 300 Baud (yes baud!) modem. I most certainly thought I was running the fastest system in the world and after all, didn't Bill Gates say there would never be a need for any more than 64 MB of RAM?
Today, I have much more, Spending $2000 buys a WI-FI ready desktop including a Windows-Based Operating System with Monitor, laptop, printer and scanner, even a flash drive or two
