Video Problems

i have a video problem with my laptop
at first the screen turns blue then later on it went from grey to black
so i tried to reformat it however Geforce 8500
cannot be detected or installed completely
-i dont know if my video card has the problem or my mother board

Well since it is a laptop more than likely the video card and the motherboard are the same animal. Very few laptops have removable video chips. I would say based on the information that your video chip has failed. unfortunately the only way to fix it is to replace the motherboard.
