Hi, I've got a quick question for anyone who knows about apple computers!

I got a digital cable to hook my mini-disc player up to an apple lap top in order to copy my mini discs into itunes, but the computer won't accknowlege that somethings being plugged into it, as it does when an ipod is.
For example, an icon doesn't pop up in itunes or on the desk top that makes it possible to play or download music from my minidisc player.
What to I do? (the minidisc player knows that it's hooked up to the computer)

I don't know much about the situation... Please provide what the model and manufacturer of the MD is... some products (ok... alot) are not compatible with Apple computers... check your box of your MD player, it will say what OS's it supports.. Post this information and we will see what we can do.
