This one here mentions this:

CPU Intel® Socket 775 Core™2 Quad/Core™2 Extreme/Core™2 Duo/Celeron® E1000 Series and 400 Series CPU Support Intel® 45nm Multi-Core CPU
Intel® Hyper-Threading Technology ready
Support Enhanced Intel SpeedStep Technology (EIST )

Mentions E1000 series, yours is an E2200 series processor. I am not sure if your processor is fully supported by this motherboard. At least not its full potential.

Why? Because of these reasons.

Support DDR2 667/800 MHz Memory
2 x 240-pin DDR2 DIMM socket support up to 8 GB

And this:

SATAII 3.0Gb/s
Doubles the transfer speed of SATA, running at speed up to 3.0Gb/s, and fully compatible with the soon-to-be-released SATA HDD, CD-ROM and other cutting-edge devices with NCQ function support.

Please keep in mind though, this is Micro ATX motherboard. See below.

Your old motherboard.

FORM FACTOR º Micro-ATX Size, 244mm*224mm

Yes you are correct, it was.

Okay then, its the g41.

Just remember, you have to run a 64 Bit OS to see that 8 Gb of memory.

I do believe Windows 8 is going to be an 64 Bit only OS when it is released.

I also want to add, you may be able to get a small amount of money for your bricked motherboard, some people who have electronics repair abilities may have the expertise in removing that BIOS chip and replacing it with socket and a freshly burned chip.

Try posting it on ebay announcing it was a victim of a bad BIOS flash, ya never know, someone might actually bid on it.
