Alright... I'm looking for the BEST firewall software available at the moment (price is insignificant to me). I did a bit of googlin, and these three respectable sites have 3 different opinions for the best firewall software:
http://personal-firewall-software-review.toptenreviews.com/
http://www.all-internet-security.com/top_1...l_software.html
http://www.pcmag.com/article2/0,2817,2351871,00.asp
All in all, I don't want a program that inhibits my computer performance and hence makes the program run sluggish.
What program do you use? If you work at a company, what do they use? Thanks in advance!

I would say that these review sites can be biased in their opinions, so they will suggest different top choices.
A better comparison is probably available here:
http://www.matousec.com/projects/proactive...nge/results.php
However different people prefer different features, so you will get many opinions here.
My own choice is Comodo and the Free and Paid security is the same, but Paid has extra services.

Wow.. I'm impressed... I'm not quite sure how you found that site, but it defitately looks legit. And you're completely right about those other sites being biased..as I've noticed some of the other topten reviews for different products have been completely inaccurate.. Thanks for the reply!

I second their opinion.... I use Comodo (free) and have had no problems, it's really easy to use, and has great features.
The firewall is easy to configure, and also has a nice interface.

You wouldn't happen to know a site like that for Anti-Malware Software eh?

Well most modern anti virus software covers all types of malware, so AVComparatives is the popular one, especially as they now do pro-active tests as well as just scanning an already infected machine. (Comodo has not yet been tested there but will be in the next test)

There is a fairly recent German test here:
