Hi, I can't get my computer to start in normal mode, when it powers up, it gets to the Windows XP screen with the black background and then it goes into Power saver mode.
I can start the computer in safe mode fine.
This problem was occuring and then I did a full re-install of OS and it is doing the same thing as before the re-install.
Any help would be greatly appreciated as I'm not sure if this is software problem or something in the hardware.
Thanks

Hi -
Copy and paste this code into your Run Box Close all open programs and click OK -
This should reboot your system and run a full 5 stage Check Disk scan on your system - It should take 30-60 mins depending on your system -
CMD /C ECHO Y|CHKDSK C: /R | SHUTDOWN /R /T 30

There should be a report after (or during) each stage of the check -
