Hello,
I try to run a Chkdsk adter boot on my Vista SP2 main HDD .
After boot I have a "Cannot open volume for Direct access" message and the PC boots normally.

Any idea why and solutions?

Thanks in advance.

The HD is a Sata one.

hi,,, usually to run a chkdsk it will do it on the next boot of the machine as it needs to be the only thing running as it needs total access to the hard drive.
job done, well done.
good luck.
