I have an HP Pavilion dv6000 laptop running vista 32bit. For the past few months, the dvd player wouldn't play a disc after putting it in, and when I would go to "Computer", it would show the "C" drive, but not the dvd. Rebooting would always solve the problem. Today, no amount of rebooting helps, and when I go to device manager, it shows the dvd player with a yellow triangle and an "!" inside. Clicking on that shows- A driver (service) for this device has been disabled. An alternate driver may be providing this functionality. (Code 32). I tried to disable and enable but that doesn't help. HP support page doesn't show a driver for the dvd player.
Thanks for the help.
