This self-help guide will walk you through the steps to remove Peper Trojan
Otherwise known as Troj/Peper-A, Trojan.Peper.A and SandBoxer
What this program does:
The peper trojan downloads other programs to your machine which can cause popups.
Tools Needed for this fix:
PeperFix
Symptoms in a HijackThis Log:
O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [4S2JW@35X2T3RX] C:\WINNT\System32\Cxe0n.exe
The Peper trojan always appears as a 14 character registry value name with a random file name associated. The file loads via the following registry key:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run
You will also two other random named programs running memory.
Note: If you have this program installed on your computer there is a good chance of other unwanted programs being installed as well.
Removal Instructions:
To remove this program we need to download a special tool:
- Download PeperFix from the following location:
PeperFix
- Save the file on your desktop.
- Double-click on the file to run it.
- Reboot and do the same process again.
Your computer should now be clean of the Peper Trojan.
