I've been searching all day for a way to connect old IDE drives to a esata port for backup. I get a lot of drives that I want to take an image of. Using a IDE to USB adapter works find, but slow. I would rather use IDE to eSATA.
Only thing I've found is:
2.5 3.5 IDE converter
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00...=ATVPDKIKX0DER
with
IDE <--> SATA
IDE SATA
and
SATA eSATA cable
eSATA Cable
Looks like a pain to use on a regular basis. I get both IDE desktop drives and laptop drives that I need to back up.
Maybe an external enclosure? But one with both 2.5 and 3.5 IDE?
Let me know if you see anything.
