The usual....slow,slow just bought this thing

Thank you your time. I have unistalled avg and defragged this rascal. I'm not totally sure how to decipher task manager readouts, but I'll take a look.

Just a word of caution about using CCleaner, unless you really know what you are doing with this program, do not allow it to alter any registry keys and if you do, please do a registry backup before hand.

FOR MR. BRUCE. Yes, I've had cCleaner in the past, but I dont plan on downloading any new programs until I find out what's hanging this pc up.

Dont know if this helps ton find a problem, but yesterday I was at a sports site and, at the bottom of the page, it stated I should download the new IE8......Already HAVE IE8,lol. Other than that, one thing that has seemed to help a little was my unchecking the nero program...
