Hello,

Just joined, so hello to all. I have some experience with computers, and, of course, encounter problems with them. Usually, they are of my own making, but I need help at times to determine this, and how to get out of it.

I also "enjoy" reading of others experiences, and learning from their mistakes rather than my own.

I have two computers running Windows XP Professional SP3, one running Windows Media Center Edition version 2002 SP3, and one running Windows Vista Ultimate. They are all Dell computers. I enjoy mostly tinkering with them, trying new software and hardware, especially utilities and tools to tweak the OS, and whatever strikes my fancy.

I currently subscribe to several on line PC newsletters: Steve Bass's TechBite, and Windows Secrets. I highly recommend them both. I also receive PC Magazine by electronic download, and PC World by mail. I just re-subscribed to Maximum PC because I just flat miss their take on things.

I am going to post a query after I finish this intro; I found this site while searching Google for a solution, and it looks straight forward and professionally run, so I thought I'd get on board.
