Hi ReviverSoft

Excuse me for coming back into this topic, but I really would like to see a satisfactory outcome for this one,
as it is a problem which I have not seen before.

I said originally I was not familiar with WMM, (being a RoxioEMC9 user) and just offered info on video conversion programs.

I have been reading all the problems at the WMM Forum:

http://www.windowsmoviemakers.net/Forums/Default.aspx

From what I can gather, WMM does not handle all AVIs that well and can also be a problem with
MPGs; the suggestions there are to import WMV clips wherever possible and I am wondering what is the
format of the files ILoveSebby is using and if it would make a scrap of difference, to convert the problem
video to WMV and try again.

Just on the basis that I try everything before giving up.

You see, the video file format (.mpg OR .avi) really isn't the problem.

It's the different resolution of both video clips, that is proving to be a problem.

Scene 1 originally features the black bars (sections) at the top and bottom, now that's within the original resolution.
So even if you were to change the resolution, the black bars would still exist, unless of course your crop the content out.

Scene 2 originally features a full-screen resolution of the video content. Again, if you were to resize this video, you'd still have the black bars on the left and right section.

So why are they different you ask?
Scene 1 is from a DVD featuring the Widescreen (16:10) format, while scene 2 is from a standard (4:3) TV resolution format.
Movies in both these formats are available separately, wherein the "original video" is encoded with the desired resolution.

So my previous post offers the only feasible options in this case.
