My headphones don't play sound when i plug them in!!! They aren't even picked up by the computer asplugged into my comp.

i need help! my headphones when plugged in aren't recognised by my computer and don't play sound. they work fine on my ipod.
please help! my speakers don't work ( don't need help there) so i can't play sound any more. it seems to have stopped working after
i got a new graphics card in my computer.

If neither speakers nor headphones...produce sounds, my guess would be that your sound chip/card is not working properly.

Did you run the Windows Sound Troubleshooter?
