This seems like a nooby problem, but I can't seem to figure it out and googling only gives me results related to XP and other nonsense. I've only been using Windows 7 for two days now and I'm not all that familiar with it yet. Here's the deal. I have a desktop and a laptop both running Windows 7. The printer is connected to my desktop computer. I'm looking for a instructions that will enable me to print files on my desktop printer directly from my laptop, if it can be done. Thanks.

How are you connect to your laptop.

I think it possible using Homegroup feature: http://windows7news.com/2009/09/19/how-to-...ws-7-homegroup/ Please let me know if this is what you want. You can share printers and print using home groups but i dont have two pcs running at the moment windows 7 so I cant test it.

I have my Vista laptop and Windows 7 in "Workgroup". I used the installation CD for my printer, which is hooked up to my desk top (Win 7) on the Vista laptop. Now read this http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb727037.aspx
