Hi folks, tonight while using my computer, my number keys started just typing punctuation marks instead of numbers. I tried multiple options to revert it to numbers, but nothing worked. While working on this I noticed that caps lock was malfunctioning as everything I typed with caps off was capitalized, while with caps on was vise versa. After rebooting, when I tried to boot up Firefox, my computer kept attempting to open multiple programs that are adjacent to the Firefox icon on my desktop (the same with Chrome). I shut down and did a cold restart and the issues seem to have disappeared, but is this something I should worry about? I ran Malwarebytes and Panda Cloud antivirus which both came up negative. Any help you can give would be appreciated.

Did you try to restart computer?
Did you try system restore?
Did you try different keyboard?

I did restart. That didn't fix the problem, but a cold reboot seems to have fixed it for now. I did not do a system restore as, like an idiot, i have backed up in a while. And I couldn't use a new keyboard as this is on my laptop.

System restore refers to going back to a time shortly before the issue started. It is not a re-install of the OS.

For future reference, Start Menu/All Programs/Accessories/System Tools/System Restore.
