Currently in the pc
Athlon X2 64bit 6000+ (dual core, 3.0ghz each, 1024KB L2 each)
Corsair brand 4 GB (2x 2gb) pc2-6400 DDR2 @ Dual Channel mode
Rosewill brand PSU ~500W
Gigabit Ethernet & SLI capable nForce500 motherboard (MSI K9N4 SLI)
GeForce 7800 GTX 256mb DDR3 PCI-E 16x w/ DirectX 9 (dual-DVI with DVI-to-VGA adapters + S-video)
My video card has friend on me and I need a new graphics card, my friend tried a few and the comp didnt accept them, could we determine what kind of cards would be compatible in this computer?

While selecting a graphics card you have to keep in mind if your PSU has enough output to support the new card.
You posted 500 Watts, but that does not tell us if the PSU is capable of supporting a card with more of a demand on the PSU then your present one does.
Can you please post more information on your PSU like model number and specs. (Edit: Or is that what your link above is supplying?)

The link is indeed to the manufactures website of the PSU, straight to the model. I would post specs but I'm not sure what you're looking for. My friend built me this computer. My friend loaned me a BFG geforce 6800 tonight and I can't even fit it the dang computer. The connector on the side of the card doesnt line up with the slot on the motherboard. When it comes to the inner workings of a computer I am a beginner.
