hi everybody,
I have both windows vista and ubuntu on my laptop. Lately I haven't been using ubuntu much so I decided to remove it from the 10GB disk partition it is on. I plan to do this using the disk management in windows(by first deleting the partition and then extending the windows partition). But I'm afraid that if I do this.. the ubuntu grub that loads at startup will no longer work and I won't be able to access windows. any suggestions?
PS. there's a thing called startup repair in windows right?? should I do that first and then delete the partition.?
thanks for your help

Yes. If the Startup Repair does not work, you can give command after booting from Windows Vista DVD
bootsect /nt60 SYS
The bootsect.exe is located in boot folder of your Windows DVD, so you have to change path accordingly.
