Hello all, Im having a bit of an issue. Im using windows XP and Im having an issue with clicking. When i open mozilla or even firefox, i can click just fine however, when i open a new tab, everytime i want to click on links or such, i have to minimize and restore the window in order to be able to click again. Also with drop down menus i have to use the down arrows and press enter in order to select and option or selse if i click on it, the drop down menu just closes and will not select the option i clicked on. I have also noticed a problem in limewire, i have to use the tab key in order to navigate it because it wont let me click on anything at all. This has been going on for months and I have tried unplugging and replugging back in my mouse. I have a dell laptop XPS M140. Does anyone know how i can fix this? THANKS!

Hi and welcome to the forum!

If you unplug the mouse temporarily, does the built in touchpad work correctly?
In the beginning there was the command line.

Have you checked the system for viruses and spyware?

Install, update and run MalwareBytes Antimalware and SuperAntiSpyware
Do the full scan on both. It could take considerable time.

Possibly we are dealing with a bug of some sort
In the beginning there was the command line.
