New & glad to be here! needed help with Desktop Security 2010 removal

Spent a couple of hours researching how to properly get rid of Desktop Security 2010 before I did anything stupid. Found the best advice here!

I am a software USER and graphic artist. I know nothing about hacking and I am not a techie. I do write some code for website design. I also use MS Word, MS Publisher, Word Perfect, PrintShop, QuarkExpress, PowerPoint, PSP 13, GIMP and most of the CS5 apps. I direct, produce & edit videos for performers. I teach computer classes for the City of Fontana and voice & bass guitar lessons. In my spare time I sing & play bass with my band.
