kaspersky tools Virus removal tool

I used the kaspersky virus removal tool 2010, a download from their support site.
has anyone used this tool?
what are your thoughts on the effectiveness of it.
The rootkits win32,agent.bert,and trojan downloader java.agent.ao
were removed
I ran malwarebytes after that and looks like they are gone.
I am going to follow up with GMER
