I made a thread about the problems I had with my XP Pro machine. I once again thank each and all that gave me any solutions there. I'm sure the thread has been locked since then. But during that time I broke down and...uhhhm...went broke buying a HP dv7-3057nr with Win 7 Home Premium x64 pre-installed, back around mid April (that one is giving me headaches too). I suoopose I need to apologize for not following up on any more replies about the XP machine. After I got the Win 7 laptop up and running I spent 3 or 4 days with about that many hours of sleep total transferring files and whole folders of music and photos and text documents, and just generally acquainting (spelling) with Win 7. Well I guess the amount sleep and not eating that much either lowered my immune system and caught a h**l of a cold or flu that lasted almost a month with some of the natiest nosebleeds I've ever had (entire rolls of paper towel to soak up the blood) after my sinuses started to heal. Fast forward to May 20th. I'm also epileptic and guess while being sick I got lazy with taking my seizure medicine and my last Dilantin level check turned out to be low so my neurologist had me start taking more Dilantin. It was a little too much. So about 5 days later after feeling myself getting more and more dizzier and pretty much a drunk sort of feeling and leaning over to one side, I finally paid the emergency room a visit. Guess what my Dilantin was pratically at toxic levels (I think around 30 something) a nurse or tech popped and told me if I would've waited even a day later I would've slipped into a coma or go into status epilepticus. Anyway I'm all back to normal since my overnight hospital stay to be hooked up to sodium chloride drips to flush out the extra Dilantin. And I further took a bit of emotional blow when I found out on my own about my favorite rock/metal singer, Ronnie James Dio (he might not be walking on this earth anymore, but his music is immortal) succumbing to stomach cancer on May 16th.

Anyway I had a letigitimate excuse I suppose and also felt it kind of rude not following up with that thread and thus taking it upon myself to say a big sorry for wasting anyone's time and effort helping me out any further (I checked in once or twice while I had that flu or whatever it was once and it got more replies. So...thanks and sorry. I hope nothing like that happens again. And anyway I had my brother do a hard drive wipe and reinstalled XP, and it's back to normal so at least I have back-up machine. But I've became so used to Win 7 that XP is completely foreign.

Mate?

I am an Aussie and we also go through Medical Problems. Just know that I do care, as I am sure most of us do on Bleeping Computer for those of those that get Sick. I honestly had it happen to me, some time ago on here.

Just Relax and let yourself Heal? I am sure most Folks understand. Just keep Posting when you can?

BTW, my brother suffers with the same Medical Problem as you. He is 69 years old, now and has had it all his Life. He has managed to cope with it, with a little Help from his Family and Friends.

 Makes feel better. I was afraid of being banned. Now I'm going to try to some help with my Win 7 laptop to uninstall bloatware without voiding the warranty. HP's support is no better now than it was back when I had a HP desktop running XP Home back some years ago. I'm stick to custom built comps after the laptop fries.

It is all Cool here, Mate.

We Love to Help.

I am sure Management will totally agree with me.

Just watch it happen?

Noone gets Banned just because they are Sick, Mate. Banning on BC takes a serious offense against the Rules that you simply did not do.

Abandoning your topic will not get you banned here at BC, so don't worry

As said by Drovers Dog, it takes a serious offense to get there (see also the board rules). We see banning as a last-resort solution and do not ban members lightly.

As for your original topic, its here.

Finally, I hope you are feeling better now and I'm glad to see you came back!

No problem from me. I just had a stay in the hospital and coming home to B/C is good for healing and the brain. Heal quickly.

I feel for you, man, I really do. I have to take driugs to keep my depression under control, and I have even been "prescribed" a dog to keep me company. If it were not for Griffin, I woukd have offed myseld long ago. I also take drugs for my fibromyalgia, which also works as a mood stabilizer - two for the price of one!

We do certainly understand people go through hardships in their lives from time to time.. and hey looking at it from the other side.. If I am having good things going on.. I may not be able to spend as much time on the forum as I would like also. That's life for you. it always seems like when it rains it pours too.. so it ends up being 3 or 4 things that one is dealing with. hehe Please don't worry. We do understand

Sounds to me like you owe the apology to yourself for putting your body under a lot of pressure. And yeah you're right. Ronnie James Dio's stuff is immortal. I got all of it and I can't fault any of it, not even some of his supposedly not so good stuff from his Black Sabbath days.

I would like to add this, if no one minds?

Bleeping Computer is truelly an International Forum with a difference.

ALL are treated EQUAL, but some that need it, are also treated Special, in the nicest of ways by EVERYONE. This Thread really shows how people from all over the World can rally to the "Call for Help".

That is quite a Wonderful thing to see, from my outlook, that I am sure most of us share.

Maybe? if other Communities do what we try to do, World Peace could be much more than a DREAM? It could be REAL in just a short time.

Edit, the Space Station is a wonderfull example of how it is really working, right now.

JMHO.

Ray.

Just to add a little. I'm feeling a little better than I did last night and wish you the same. Day at a time. My secret is the Lord; works for me. It makes me fell good that I can still use my brain although a little slower than normal because all the damn drugs they got me on. Just don't give up; people here are on your side.
