I have a Compaq presario f500 laptop with vista 32-bit. It only has 512 mb of ram. I have a laptop that has 2gb of RAM. Its an Acer and it was originally running windows vista 32-bit. But i got a terrible virus so i had to install windows xp pro. I was wondering if its ok to take the ram from the acer and put it on my other laptop? and also could i put the acer processor in my presario?

Hi skatr4u and welcome to the forum!

Look both system up on crucial.com to see if they both take the same type of memory. If they do you can swap memory.

I would not advise swapping processors on a laptop unless you want to do major surgery!
In the beginning there was the command line.
