Syncroad creates pop ups on your machine with advertisements in it.

Symptoms in a HijackThis Log:
O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [Windows SyncroAd] C:\Program Files\Windows SyncroAd\SyncroAd.exe
O16 - DPF: {15AD4789-CDB4-47E1-A9DA-992EE8E6BAD6} - htt p://public.windupdates.com/get_file.php...
Instructions:
Remove this program through the provided Add/Remove Programs entry. To uninstall it follow these steps:
- Enter the control panel.
- Double-click on the Add/Remove Programs link.
- Look for the entry for Wndows Syncroad or WindUpdates and uninstall it.
- Reboot your computer
- Download HijackThis and extract it to c:\hijackthis.
- Navigate to the c:\hijackthis directory and double-click on HijackThis
- When the program starts, double-click on the HijackThis icon and then click
on the Scan button.
- If you see a O4 entry for Syncroad or a O16 entry for windupdates, put a checkmark next to that entry.
- Then click the Fix button
- If there were no matching entries, or you are finished, close HijackThis.
- Reboot your computer into Safe Mode
- Delete the following directory: C:\Program Files\Windows SyncroAd\
- Reboot your computer and let it boot normally.
Your computer should now be clean of the Syncroad program.
