my pc wont boot up wont pass post

when i turn my pc on it beeps 1 then gose to post
on the screen i get

EVERY THING SEEMS FINE WHEN BOOTING BUT STOPS AT POST PLEASE HELP

at the post it wont let me hit f8 but tab and f1 and delete dose os is xp pro

What make and model of computer is it? (ie. Dell, HP, Custom-built, etc.)

Is it a desktop or laptop?

Does the screen just sit there displaying information or does it go blank?

Can you hear the hard drive spinning/reading, or is the system making any odd noises?
