Hi,

I'm wondering if anyone would have any ideas on where I could locate some new keys for my fujitsu Lifebook T-series computer?? I checked with Fujitsu and they wouldn't sell me a keyboard saying I had to visit a supplier. The nearest one was 10 hours away and I can't afford to be without my computer so I can't send it in.......Cost is an issue as well with limited resources available......Many thanks

Considering that you cannot send your machine in, you're not leaving yourself with a lot of options. Laptop keyboards like that aren't easy to replace.

You may try contacting some local computer shops to see if they can get one fairly cheap from a used out dated device.

Unless you know someone who has a similar lifebook to yours that no longer works, your not going to get away with not having to pay something for it.

I would suggest you try using e-bay as a good source in locating a cheap keyboard replacement for your device.

The keyboards are really not that hard to replace since they are located on the external side of the computer, there is usually only one modular ribbon wire that connects the main board to this section and the screws are usually hidden under a hole plug, which is removed with a flat screw driver. These are usually near where the screen hinges are attached to the bottom section.

Hope this information helps you.
Please take notice. Oreo and I will not be available until June of 2012.
Thank you for understanding my absence, it is job and college related, so all is good. If I do not answer your PMs this is the reason why. See you all soon!

Bruce.
