once more i turn to bleeping computer for all the excellent resources available here:
I need to know, what software is best used to make back-up copies of games? I have attempted to use Nero ex. 6, but the pogram froze after several minutes of no progress. Was this a freak error, or is Nero incapable of this type of burn?

Many games have backup protection in them making it difficult to copy them. There used to be a backup program called Games Xcopy.

I've been meaning to try this. I haven't yet, mainly because i do not have any DVD's. I checked one out from the library to try out my DVD-Rom and got errors. Spent so much time here learnin' HJT analysis that I ended up payin' a fine for 3 days overdue. :flowers: It's still on my to-do list that gets longer each day.

I have already purchased a copy of DVD Xcopy, amd I'm thinking of trying it for my game software, but i'm almost sure that's a dead end. Would your computer have a better chance of making the burn if the full game program was on the hard drive? Still experimenting!
