When I was installing Windows 7 on my Inspiron Dell, I have mistakenly formatted all my disk, including C and D (all). Then, I cannot even reach the start menu. What should I do?
I have the OS CD with me. But I juz dun know what to do next. When I try to boot the PC, it says there's something that prevent Windows from starting and it all go back to "enter your password" again and again.

laptop or desktop ? model ?
are C and D partitions on a single drive or are they two separate hard drives. ?

if you have formatted files that you wanted to keep (pics, docs, etc.) you may want to try to recover them before any further writing to the drive occurs.

Hi have you tried starting the laptop with the OS CD in the drive, if you have not then try that, as what you have taken off your laptop is the files from d drive that loads the system for you to then install windows 7
Now installed Microsoft Security Essencials on my Tower with Windows Home Premium 32bit and Toshiba Satellite Pro Laptop with Windows Home Premium 64bit
