topic renew

my "driver stopped responding and has recovered" or game crash problem is still on, i tried many things including buying a new PSU, im sure for 99% that its hardware problem because modern games like crysis crash after few minutes but only on VERY HIGH settings, on HIGH it works fine, its definitely not a GPU or CPU overheating because i was monitoring temp when game crashed, GPU temp was around 80 and cpu was cool. I tried many kinds of reinstalling a few kinds of drivers, no results. Do you think that a new motherboard may solve this problem ? If yes would you reccomend me something :flowers: ?

a 80 degree on GPU will make you VGA chip defective (artefak)...
for safety...please dont push it too hard

please turn off your computer and open your computer case and check does you VGA have any fan on it or just a heatsink without any fan...please check does that fan spining or not (while computer is on)...
if not spin than maybe thats the problem...

if your VGA was under warranty please consider RMA it...
if not under waranty...please save your money for a while for buy a new vga...

if you want a simple test for test...
if your computer wonderking texturing fails, sometimes partially sometimes i cant see a thing, from time to time computer restarts or something like you say (sorry I cant see what you see)...do a print screen and paste it on ms paint or another software...save it on usb flash drive/floppy/cd and open that picture on another computer...and see how it look like...if normally (desktop or program/something) picture and not your problem appear on that picture maybe your have fail...
if it look like the problem you deal...try change resolution and screen refresh rate...

go EVGA website and found this
http://www.evga.com/support/faq/afmviewfaq.aspx?faqid=57289

40C to 80C normal??? if the air circulation is very good maybe this will not damaged anything but if dont...in long time it will burn something on the VGA or mainboard/computer...

or you could read this article...
Updating/Installing/Fixing 5/6/7/8/9/200/400 Drivers READ

first link:
"50-70C idle and up to 80C-90C at load"
so temp is ok, i never got higher than 80, my VGA is GTX 280 so it has a big heat sink + fan, and yeah its spinning.
in some old games i got "driver stopped responding and has recovered" at 55C so its not a temp issue
