100% CPU, Very Slow, Can't See Videos

I'm hoping someone can help me figure out what's going on with my computer. I'm using Windows XP, and it's gotten very slow,
when I check my CPU it's at 100% constantly. When I try and play any videos, they are very choppy, and the audio is ahead of
the video, then all of a sudden the video image will speed up to catch up to the audio...I hope that makes sense. When a webpage
is taking a long time to load, I notice it's usually an animated ad that is causing the slowness.
I've scanned my computer with Avast, Eset, Panda, and BitDefender and none of them have picked up anything. I clear out my temporary
internet files constantly, have defragmented, and it's still slow. I'd appreciate any help.

and under the processes I have 44. Many of them I have no idea what
they are so I just leave them alone because I don't want to end something
that I'm not supposed to.

ATI, and then clicked clean. Once my computer rebooted, only one of my screens was working
and the display was huge. I wasn't sure what to do from that point forward so I had no choice but
to do a system restore. I figured the restore would basically undo everything I did but my system
is running faster and I've tested several videos and they all seem to be working just fine now?
I never reinstalled anything... could that clean utility have fixed whatever was wrong?
