Yahoo Mail Sending out Spam

My Yahoo account sent out spam from my email account to all in my address book.

Scanned with AVG anti-virus and Malwarebytes and nothing came up. Also have Spyware Blaster installed as well.

Anybody else have this problem and if not, what can I do to get rid of it? Or was this just a one-time glitch?

Windows 7 machine BTW.

It looks like your email has been hacked and that doesn't necessarily mean you will detect anything on your computer. It's never happened to me but I'm not sure that there is a solution.

As frankp316 stated, your account has likely been compromised (not your computer, necessarily). If somebody else has your password, you need to change it ASAP.

If that doesn't work, contact Yahoo.

Yeah, already changed the password and deleted all email addys in there (not my main account). And tried finding a link to Yahoo officials, but if there is one on there, I surely couldn't find it. :thumbsup:

I use this one for a lot of registrations from websites, so really don't want to lose it. And I have other email come there (Kim Komando and other stuff) that makes me not want to change the account name.

Thanks, sent them a message and waiting for their response. Will post what they say (if I even get anything).

Changed the password and only have one of my throw-away email addys in there. Nothing has come through yet, but don't want to put other addys in there and then it happens again. And as usual, Yahoo hasn't responded to my message.
