I am trying to connect a data projector to a lap-top.

The computer is a Toshiba, as is the projector and Windows XP is the system.

After connecting the two units correctly and then right-clicking the Desktop/Properties/Settings I get the two screens side-by-side numbered 1 & 2.

When I right-click screen 1 and click "Identify" a large no. 1 appears.

When I do the same with the second screen nothing appears.

Also on screen no 1 in the Display slot is selected as “Multiple Monitors” but on screen no 2 in the display slot is selected “Default Monitor”. When I try to change this to “Multiple Monitors” (which does appear as a choice in the drop-down slot) it diverts to the screen no 1.

Also when I try to toggle the display using Function/F5 (which is the correct combination) there is only one choice and I believe there should be more.

Can anyone assist me please?

Regards,
bempton
